The issue of contempt is whether or not a person intentionally violates a court order. If it is found the person had the ability but willfully chose not to comply, it is contempt. The below transcript excerpt shows how far judges will go to make absurd findings of "fact" to put people in jail. Even though the court had entered orders before and after these proceedings finding that the father was indigent, the courts are so hell-bent on jailing people that they "make up" whatever they need to accomplish their goals. In this case, the indigent father was found in contempt because he could have sold the clothes he was wearing for at least a penny. Of course, then he would be arrested for lewd behavior, but, as this excerpt shows, such forward thinking is beyond the abilities of some judges.
